We’re already storming through 2019 and though last year seems like a distant memory, the Production Design students, and their work for the Joe Farley Award, are still vivid in our minds.
Find out more about the beautiful new seating, lighting and objet that have been added to the collection in the last couple of weeks. We found the set of eight English, William and Mary dining chairs with festive tartan upholstery in a Northamptonshire manor house and thought they’d be a great addition. One of our favourite pieces is the sweet French bar/drinks station, perfect for the party season! Our lamp obsession continues with some interesting styles to compliment our existing collection, especially the delicate modern marble shaded lamps which are achingly stylish. Imagine my inner-princess’s excitement then when a friend and I had the chance to attend the Jane Austen Festival’s Annual Summer Ball in Bath last weekend.
We left this year’s British Designers Guild Awards with our feet aching from dancing, our hands sore from clapping and our heads preparing to throb in the morning, but what a fab night it was!
Pinewood heaved under the weight of film design talent as the great and the good were honoured at the 2017 BFDG Awards held at Heatherden Hall, Pinewood Studios on Saturday the 13th of January 2018.

Though we’re groaning under the weight of our gorgeous collection, we still can’t resist adding something new to excite our clients and our latest spree has been a particularly successful one.
Take 127 short films, mix in a bucket load of female film making talent, spread it over five days, and you’ve got Underwire Festival 2017. Celebrating the ‘raw cinematic talents of women’, Underwire is the only film festival in the UK celebrating female film making across the crafts. It’s BAFTA recognised and is supported by industry leader organisations and sponsors and most importantly, it’s growing year on year.
If you’re preparing to crew up for your next art department then we urge you to look no further than this year’s crop of Joe Farley Award entrants. Every year we’re blown away by the amazing work produced by the first year Production Design students at the National Film and Television School when we go to judge the annual Joe Farley Award.
We enjoyed a fabulous evening of champagne and delicious cake in The Marie Antoinette suite at The Ritz last week as part of the celebrations for the Unique Cakes by Yevnig 2017 Collection. And what spectacular cakes they were.
Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue…..the recent Quintessentially Atelier had it all and then some! We had the pleasure of taking part in the exclusive Quintessentially Wedding Atelier on the 1st and 2nd of April, set in the grand ballroom at The Langham Hotel London.
